Our guiding principles
We believe that as a company, we have a corporate and social responsibility to implement good environmental practices and provide significant support to our community. We also aspire to treat all our employees and clients alike with respect and operate sustainably in every area of our business.
As part of our guiding principles, we prioritise encouraging our employees, clients, suppliers, and all business partners to act equally corporate and socially responsible.
Following our guiding principles, we aim to fulfil our duty of diligence towards future generations.
Charity Mission
Empowering Ugandans living below the poverty line, especially children and women.
Teaching them how to earn an income using a “learning by doing” methodology that enables them to meet their basic needs and lead a healthy, productive, and dignified life.
Sajjad traveled to Lwengo district in Uganda to see firsthand how Oracle Solicitors’ support was helping the community.
Sajjad made a promise to his dying mother to provide drinking water to communities in need. This led Sajjad to build a well for a Ugandan community which otherwise had to walk three miles to obtain fresh water.
Sajjad then met Joseph (Joy for Humanity) and since then Oracle Solicitors have become involved in a wider project working to bring sustained changes to the lives of Ugandan people living in rural communities.
Health
A program has been developed to assess and treat all health needs of children and adults in rural communities.
A new health centre is currently under construction, which will include:
- Separate wards for men, women, and children
- A maternity/delivery wing
- A laboratory – for medical tests that currently are not possible, enabling better diagnosis and consequently treatment
- A dental suite
- Community Health Education – community village nurses will visit homes and pro-actively identify health needs.
The Community
Oracle Solicitors actively supports community investment initiatives, supporting charities, local organisations, and a sports team. We do this so that Oracle can give back to the community we are a part of.
Our relationships with the communities we serve are very important to us. When developing the services offered by the company, we aim to focus on improvements for the community as a whole, rather than just individual clients.
In line with our core values, our strategy within the community involves having high levels of engagement with charities and local organisations.
We often provide work experience opportunities for university students, support mentoring programs, and provide professional advice to students considering law as a profession.
In the past, we have participated in fundraising events and sponsorships for charities such as:
